IT support for 10-250 employee businessesDay-to-Day IT Support From Engineers Who Know Your Business

IT Total Care provides day-to-day IT support for Bay Area businesses with 10 to 250 employees. It’s part of our monthly managed IT plan: you buy support hours, and the same local engineers handle every request.

“Their customer service is exceptional, and their team consistently provides fast, effective solutions whenever we need assistance.”

Sherry Rylko, CEO, Rylko Builders

The problemWhen IT Is Someone’s Side Job, the Same Problems Keep Coming Back

In most businesses that call us, the IT person is really the owner, or someone who already has another job. IT gets squeezed in between everything else, and it shows.

So the same problems keep coming back. New hires take days to get working. People share logins. Nobody is sure who has access to what, and former employees still have access they should have lost when they left.

Then something bigger happens: a security scare, or pressure to meet compliance rules. And the provider you have stopped feeling like a partner a while ago.

The hidden cost

Here’s what that costs you

!Lost staff time, as people wait on fixes or work around them.
!Delayed revenue when people and projects stall.
!The owner’s time, spent on passwords and printers instead of the business.
!More risk from shared logins and access nobody removed.
!Frustrated staff, and in time, turnover.
!Missed opportunities.
!Money spent on things you didn’t need.

What’s Included in Our IT Support Services

Security tools, backup and Microsoft or Google licensing are part of the full package. See IT Managed Services for those.

Call, email or use our portal for help with Windows and Mac computers, phones, printers and the business apps your team uses every day. Behind the scenes, software monitors your systems 24/7.

Onsite Support

When a problem needs hands-on work, an engineer comes to you, typically the same day or next day anywhere in the Bay Area.

We keep an inventory of your computers and equipment and manage who has access to what, so no one keeps access they shouldn’t have.

The teamWho Runs IT Support at IT Total Care

IT support at IT Total Care is run by a local Bay Area team. Every client has a lead engineer who leads a pod of engineers. Your lead engineer provides oversight, handles tasks personally and delegates as appropriate, so your business gets the best service possible.

Every engineer is local to the Bay Area, and your pod already knows your systems, so help starts faster. The results show: a 99% client rating, 99% first-response timeliness and 97% resolution timeliness.

Why a Senior Engineer Looks at Your Issue First

Every client has a lead engineer: a senior engineer who knows your business and oversees all of your support. Your lead engineer leads a small pod, so you work with the same two or three engineers on a regular basis.

When you call, email or open a ticket in our portal, a senior engineer looks at your issue first, then hands it to the right person. Your lead engineer handles critical work personally and oversees the rest.

That first senior look means your issue starts with someone who can size it up quickly. And because your pod already knows your systems, you don’t have to explain your setup every time. All of our engineers are local to the Bay Area. You won’t reach a call center.

Who Our IT Support Services Are For, and Who They Aren’t

Who it’s for

Our IT support is built for Bay Area businesses with 10 to 250 employees. It’s a good fit if:

✓The owner or an office manager has become the IT person by default.
✓You want the same engineers every time, people who know your systems.
✓You’re growing and need IT that keeps up.

We support home-based care, healthcare and medical practices, financial services, professional services, technology, life sciences, manufacturing, and construction, trades and field services. Home care, home health and hospice agencies can read more on our Home Care IT Support page.

It isn’t a fit if you only want someone to call when something breaks. We don’t do one-off break/fix work. We only work with businesses on our ongoing monthly plan.

How It Works: The First 30 Days

Onboarding

It starts before you sign. During the sales process, our owner, Brendan Duebner, and a senior engineer build a custom action plan for your business. Your proposal is based on that plan.

Once you sign, Brendan and your lead engineer handle onboarding personally. It runs in three phases:

1Access and tool setup. We get access to your systems and set up the tools we use to support and monitor them.
2Core standard operating procedures. We create the core procedures your pod will follow when supporting your business.
3IT road mapping. We build a roadmap for your IT: what to address first, and what comes later.

After onboarding, your pod handles day-to-day support and works through the roadmap with you. We meet with you for a technology business review every 6 to 12 months, depending on what you prefer. Each review looks at how things are going and what comes next.

PricingHow Pricing Works

IT support isn’t a separate plan or price at IT Total Care. It’s the day-to-day side of our monthly managed IT plan, and it works like this:

✓You buy monthly support hours. Each hour is one hour of IT or cybersecurity support.
✓You use those hours for whatever you need: help desk requests, onsite visits and after-hours work.
✓Unused hours roll over for a predetermined amount of time, so a quiet month isn’t wasted.
✓After-hours work comes out of the same hours, at a higher rate.
✓There’s no long-term contract. The plan is month-to-month, so we earn your business every month.

Most clients also buy other monthly services from us, such as security tools, backup and Microsoft or Google licensing. Those are covered on our IT Managed Services page.

Your proposal is built from the custom action plan we create with you, so you’ll see what we recommend before you commit to anything.

Client story

Heat Transfer Equipment Co.: 75% Fewer IT Issues & 2x Growth

Heat Transfer Equipment Co. is a manufacturer and distributor with about 40 employees. Before they came to us, their staff and ownership were fixing IT issues themselves, on top of everything else.

That was a huge drag on efficiency. Every hour someone spent on a computer problem was an hour taken away from the work they were hired to do. It even led to a cybersecurity scare.

We took over day-to-day management of their IT and cybersecurity, so their staff and owners could step back from it. Now they get proactive support: software monitors their systems around the clock, and their pod works to head off problems before they reach the team. When something does come up, they call us instead of fixing it themselves. They have one team to call, and that team already knows their systems.

The results:

✓About 75% fewer IT issues.
✓Day-to-day IT and cybersecurity fully handed over to us, so staff and ownership are back to running the business.
✓Growth at roughly twice the rate they had before.

Today, IT is something Heat Transfer Equipment Co. hands off, not something its people have to do. Fewer interruptions mean more of the team’s time goes into the business.
